You can easily install an Ironhaus wood fireplace by carefully following the installation steps outlined in the owner’s manual. See our Architect and Builder Resource to download the manual for your fireplace. Ironhaus suggests using a qualified installer to install your gas fireplace.

With the exception of the Big Sky, all of IRONHAUS units can be installed directly on a combustible base. Refer to the installation / owners manual for directions. The Big Sky needs to have a non combustible base. A 4” hearth spacer is available from IRONHAUS should the application require it.

The Teton, Pioneer, Wilderness, and Big Sky Wood Burning Fireplaces use a 12” double wall air cooled pipe. This pipe has a 15” outside diameter and requires 2” of clearance to combustibles on all sides. The Sawtooth, Selway, and Yellowstone Gas Fireplaces use direct vent 5’x8” pipe which requires 2” of clearance to combustibles on all sides. See the owners’ manual for more information.

Downloadable framing dimensions and fireplace specifications are available for each unit at http://www.ironhaus.com/architects or click on Specs in the menu. They are also in the downloadable owner’s manual.
