You can safely leave your pilot burning year round. However, Ironhaus recommends the pilot be turned off during the off-season. This will conserve fuel and preserve the batteries in remote controls (where applicable). The pilot will require servicing to remove foreign particles such as lint, dust, etc. that accumulate during the summer months. Please refer to your owner's manual for proper cleaning instructions.
